Come celebrate the release of Emily Jeanne Brown's "Nina" EP with Sunken Living Room family Deidre & the Dark and Damon Daunno Drawing from the folk and Americana music of her California upbringing and the influence of collaborators embedded in Brooklyn's independent music scene, Emily Jeanne Brown's forthcoming EP, 'Nina', features "unique" and "timeless" songs (LeFutureWave Blog) that are “a natural fit with the current movement of women in indie-folk pop \[boygenius, Maggie Rogers, Fiona Apple, HAIM, Phoebe Bridgers, Sharon Van Etten or even Taylor Swift’s latest work\]” (Aptly Journal). Deidre & the Dark is the solo project of Brooklyn musician Deidre Muro (Savoir Adore, Violet Sands). While her releases to date have showcased “…a bold and brassy declaration of love for the 60s girl groups, 70s Philly soul, and modern R&B that delivers the kinds of hooks and euphoria found only in the very best pop records” (WFMU), Deidre’s upcoming singles expand on and explore some of her earliest zones of writing and recording, from 90s/00s indie rock to lo-fi/bedroom pop. Known for his compelling voice and magnetic presence, Tony and Grammy nominated Broadway actor, singer and musician Damon Daunno (Hadestown, Oklahoma!) shared his first original music release, 'Time Machine,' earlier this year - "a dreamlike atmosphere that is paradise encapsulated" (Atwood Magazine). When Daunno isn’t working on stage, he is in the studio working on a batch of forthcoming releases.
