    About

Paul Babe - Making Paul Babe’s music begins with cracking open a Magic 8-ball and drinking the juice. The Twin Cities bred, BK based soft-psych/cosmic r&b project elegantly fuses the organic and computerized across cinematic arrangements of classically memorable songs. Vivid vocals lean soulful and carve a path through the deceptively dense, HiFi forest found growing out of the tunes. Homemade and gritty, the bedroom producer vibes wallpapered throughout are painted over with a sheen of refreshing ambience, sealing the elements, both raw and polished. Paul Babe is experimental but rarely out of the groove, and when torn down to the studs, reveals a foundation laid with the craft of a singer/songwriter. Aviv Gilad - Aviv Gilad is a songwriter and pianist living in Ridgewood, Queens with 10 roommates, 40,000 bees, and a small but comprehensive arrangement of kitchen appliances. When not leading the prog-soul outfit Valipala, he writes precise, lyrical songs informed by the last half-millenium or so of the short-form vocal tradition. Alexandra James and the Danger Boys - Alexandra James is a genre-bending singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn. James blends acoustic folk, soul, and jazz and creates a unique hybrid of influences and sound. She uses her resonant and quietly powerful voice to deliver raw and personal lyrics
