From leading the charge as part of Chicago's second wave of house music to inspiring Daft Punk with his trailblazing filtered disco sound, the DJ, producer, songwriter, label owner, and often outspoken self-professed "House Gangsta" helped draft the blueprint for modern dance music. — **DJ Holographic** is a one-woman funk machine born and raised in Detroit. Her mission is to serve up a mix of musical cuisine that combines House beats, passionate R&B, Hip Hop, unreserved Disco, true Detroit Techno, and Motown. SILO is a new 500-cap multi-genre music and event space built in a converted hangar in East Williamsburg, the hub of Brooklyn's new nightlife scene. Fully fitted to deliver the ultimate multi-sensory experience, SILO looks forward to hosting DJs and producers representing the vast universe of dance music and the cultures and communities that have grown up around them. There is no guiding genre or standard BPM; rather, there is an energy that will permeate the dance floor and an ethos that lends itself to the open-minded exploration of sound. SILO stands in full support of risk-taking creatives who aim to experiment and push boundaries, and respects the freedom of individuals to be fully themselves. Finally, SILO is welcome to any and all who find themselves seeking such a space. This is a gender neutral space, enforcing no gender norms or power structures and tolerating no forms of hate or bias.
